The tactics logos, ethos and pathos appeal to the different sides of a person's minds. Logos appeals to logic, often used to persuade an audience through reason. Ethos appeals to ethics, usually used to convince the audience the credibility of the speaker. Pathos is used to appeal to the emotional side of the audience, being used in a way to create an emotional response from the audience in favor of the speaker.
