Forensic Science is the career field I am interested in. I would enjoy being a forensic science technician because of my interest in mysteries and figuring things out. This career choice is the right choice for me because I would only need a Bachelor’s degree, it would be work I enjoy doing, and I would make an exceptional salary. Forensic science technicians aid investigations by collecting and testing evidence. Many technicians spend time either in a laboratory or on the field in crime scene investigation. To have this job, you cannot be too tender-hearted, considering you see and deal with corpses and the families continuously throughout a daily basis. I have been interested in pursuing this career since I was a young girl. Solving

The person I chosen to talk about is Dr. Paul Fauteck. At a young age he was doing small petty crimes and cutting quitting school. He has been caught stealing, theft and burglary. One of his crime friends was shot and killed by police at age 18.
When a person has been charged with a crime, it's after the police have conducted an investigation. There are many times when the investigation has caused the police to arrest the wrong individual. The accused has the right to have their own investigation conducted by professional detectives working for the defense. Defense attorneys can have their own in-house criminal defense investigator to find facts and evidence that will proclaim their clients' innocence. Untested Victims Bailey Votto 4/19/16 Margaret Oakes Paper 4 Draft #2 When the two solutions, sodium chloride (NaCl) and silver nitrate (AgNO3) react, a soluble sodium nitrate (NaNO3) and a precipitate silver chloride (AgCl) form. While this reaction is not a common occurrence for most of us in our daily life and work, it is in a forensic science lab. This chemical reaction is just one of the many techniques used to unveil fingerprints in a crime scene. Unfortunately, fingerprints are not always left or able to be found. In that case, new chemical procedures must take place.
Throughout life, many are faced with obstacles. These obstacles can either set them further in society and help them reach their aspirations, or those challenges can cause one to refrain from reaching their full potential. Which in retrospect makes them settle for less than what they can fully achieve. The difference in those two paths are work ethic; if one works hard and is honest and fair they can truly achieve greatness, while the other simply settles for the easier option which in the long run may cause them more struggle later in life. Gerald Sheehy lived a life that was positively impacted by his hard work in forensic science advancements in the early stages of the FBI; he got to travel around the country and teach hundreds of people
When we ask a child about their dream job, many answers often come up: police officer, doctor, astronaut, teacher, ninja, princess, etc. However, it is rare to find a few names on that list, especially that of a funeral director or an embalmer. What would it be like to work, everyday, amongst the deceased? Are there any psychological or emotional repercussions on employees and how might one’s vision on life and death change after such a marginal career? These questions were answered after my visit to the Armstrong-Rideau funeral home, with the help of our guide Alexandre.
A lot of students considering a civil service career think that a criminal justice degree is only good for being a law enforcement officer or, in combination with a legal degree, a criminal lawyer. Here are a whole range of criminal justice career choices that many degree-holders overlook, but are well worth consideration: Social Work/ Personal Cases These may include child support and child protective services, missing persons, domestic violence and spousal or elderly abuse. Domestic legal social work is often identified as having extreme pros and cons to it. On the one hand, you're working to make everyone's home life better. On the other, the work can be stressful when confronting a perpetrator or heart-wrenching when confronting a victim.

Science has come a long way over the years. It has helped countless every day struggles and cure diseases most commonly found. What you don’t hear about however is the advancement of forensic science. Forensic science has helped solve countless cases of murder, rape, and sexual assault. In the case of John Joubert, it helped solve the murders of three young boys with one small piece of evidence that linked him directly to the crime.

One choice from the Law Enforcement area of this field would be a CSI. This is probably one of the most well-known jobs because of all the television shows. However, these shows do not portray the crime scene process to all its truth. A Crime Scene Investigator is hired as a police officer or civilian. They are the ones who recognize crime scenes, documents the scenes and process any evidence they have gathered and send it to the crime lab.

Crime has been at its highest this year. Forensic science has played a major part in investigating crimes and searching for evidence that is not seen by the naked eye(Dillon). The field of forensics is continually growing, causes of death have become more interesting, autopsies are more critical, and the salary is appreciable(Gewin). Since there are only 18 forensic science undergraduate programs in the US that have been authorized by the American Academy of Forensic Science, my prospective college choices are limited. After tackling the time it will take to earn my bachelors in forensics(4 years), then finish medical school and four years of residency, it will eventually all be worth the wait.
