The French and Indian War erupted in catastrophe and ruined the British and the colonists' relationship because of all the debt that the colonists took on for the British's war. The first thing that made their relationship start to break was when the loyalists were put into a huge debt after the French and Indian War. This itself resulted in many taxes and acts for the colonists. The loyalists established eight polices in the hopes of gaining money and power. The first act initiated was the Proclamation of 1763 witch forbade any settlement of the colonists west of the Appalachian mountains. The proclamation infuriated the colonists who had planned on settling westward. The Proclamation of 1763 damage the bond between the British and the colonists.

The French and Indian War altered many relations between Britain and American colonies. After the war, the English ended up with more land just as well as the Russians, while the French lost most of it, and the Russians expanded just a little bit more. After 1763, English colonies had dominated the new world. The English debt had lead to taxation that colonist found unfair, and this made them change their perspective on how they looked at the world or as they called it, “mother nature”. When the English colonies dominated the new world it took a toll on the relationship with the American colonist and Britain and that led to the Proclamation of 1763.
The French and Indian War brought about unexpected burdens to the British Empire. The cost of the war had greatly increased their debt and also brought about great territorial claims in the New World. The war made English leaders, who were not satisfied with the financial and military help received during the war, resent the colonists. These factors led to English leaders to believe that the colonies needed reorganization and political reconstruction with a center authority in London. The overbearing control given to London contributed largely to the resentment colonists had toward British imperial policies.
(Doc B). This display of intolerance towards the colonists settling the Native’s lands foreshadowed Pontiac’s Uprising and the violence between the two groups. In order to ease the tensions Britain made the Proclamation of 1763, which stated that colonists could not settle past the Appalachian mountains. The Americans were outraged by this and defied this political act and continued to flood the West with settlers. This was not the only outrage in America.
French and Indian War The Ohio Company was an important vehicle through which British investors planned to expand into the Ohio Valley, opening new settlements and trading posts for the Indian trade. In 1753, the French themselves began expanding their military control into the Ohio Country, a territory already claimed by the British colonies of Virginia and Pennsylvania. These competing claims led to a war in the colonies called the French and Indian War, and contributed to the start of the global Seven Years' War . By chance, Washington became involved in its beginning.
The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Year’s War, was a global war between Britain and France that occurred from 1754- 1763. It took place in North America and Europe, and “it was sparked by French and British competition for the ancestral Indian lands in the vast Ohio Valley” (America a Narrative History pg. 157). This was a decisive war as the winner would gain control of the entire North American continent because of the control of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. Ultimately, the British won the war and was given many valuable landholdings in North America, which was stated in the Treaty of Paris of 1763. As a result of the French and Indian war, colonies were affected by policies in the form of economic taxes and acts issued by
In 1763, the British issued an order called the Proclamation of 1763 stating that colonists
The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Years War lasted from 1756 to 1763. This war was between the English and the French and the allied Native Americans. This war was started because both France and England claimed the Ohio Valley region. Neither one of them would let the other have the land, so they fought over it. The Indians aided the French and not the English because the French treated the Indians with more respect and fairly.
The United States of America, one of the greatest countries on earth today. A place that 318.9 million people call their home. A country whose identity has been formed by a series of wars, people, political events, and more day in and day out. Going back to the earliest stage of America that we know, The French and Indian war was the first major war that started to create and form the America we know today. For over a century the French and British lived peacefully amongst one another in the new world.
Before the war the natives expressed their concerns about colonists settling on their land, that they knew was valuable, and felt that the settlement was spoiling their hunt. This warning proved to be quite important after the war when the Pontiac's Rebellion occurred because colonists were settlign in the Ohio River Valley, which was Indian territory. Due to the agreements in the Treaty of Paris, after Britain's victory they gained more territory which included the valley. After bring attacked by the Indians, Parliament passed the Proclamation line of 1763 which stated that they couldn't venture pas the Appalachian Mountains for settlement in hopes of keeping protection from the Indians and ensuring that another debt increasing war didn't happen, yet colonists disobeyed the
The French and Indian War The French and Indian War was fought over possession of land in North America. This war lasted seven years, 1756-1763, and is also called the Seven Years War. The French and Indian War At first glance, both websites present me with two different pictures, two different stories, and two different points of view of a dramatic time in history that would forever change the way the United States of America would come to be. I chose to compare History.com and Britannica.com manly because I wanted to see the difference, if any, in an American based website and a more British based website on the topic of the French and Indian War. A war between the French and the British over territorial claims which took place in North America. Needless to say, most of the information found on said websites was almost identical. However, the information given from Britannica.com was so much into detail that they even went as far back as 1663, 91 years before
They felt that they shouldn't be restricted to expansion when they were just victorious in a recent war. The colonists viewed this new policy as an infringement on their basic rights and many ignored it and moved into the prohibited area. Other colonists figured that the proclamation was only a temporary solution. These events along with many other future restrictive measures by the government would start the American Revolution, which would forever change and shape our country by giving the colonies their independence from Great
They are the men who, greedy for land and riches, managed to provoke the French into attacking us, despite all peaceful intentions and actions taken by our parliament. The blood of all those men, our brothers, husbands, and children, who died in that war is on their hands, more so than on the French themselves! The French may have fired the first shots, but it was their governor who first sold the land, out of greed and contempt for the laws set forth by our King. It is their people who must pay for the lives of those men, and if not in blood, than in the blood money they have stolen from us
The Proclamation of 1763, was a rule that was later established by King George III in order for the colonies to stop expanding. This later affected the Americans, causing them land that could no longer be purchased from the Indians. The Americans did not favor this because this caused them to not make money from
