He started out as a freestyle rapper, and then he signed to a record company and he started producing songs about the hardships in his life. He quickly became one of the best rappers of all time. He set the standard for rap artists very high by rapping about his life and what he had to do to get to the top, and people connected to his songs which made his popularity grow among people across the country. He won a variety of Grammy awards for his incredible, game changing music. He won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. Also, he accomplished to receive Best Rap Album for his hit album, Slim Shady LP. Marshall was known by two names in the rap game, Eminem and Slim Shady. Later on in his career he became a worldwide known artist and he went on to achieve and produce ten number one albums on the Billboard 200. He is a fighter because he wanted to go out and achieve greatness and that is exactly what he did. After, he applied at University of Maryland Law School but was denied because he was black.
In my opinion Thurgood Marshall was influential by the fact that he was a special counsel to the NAACP, which is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Marshall became a key prosecuting attorney in several school segregation cases argued before the Supreme Court, including the 1954 landmark case Brown vs. the Board of Education. I believe that was the highlight of it all because his decision to participate and overall fight for the purpose of helping for a bigger cause in something that would go down highlighted in history. What would it be like to live in a place where the color of your skin determined if you could get a cheeseburger at your favorite restaurant, or where you have to go to school, and even be able to drink out of a drinking fountain or have to use the dog fountain. Well life isn 't like that since Malcolm X fought for freedom, education, and equality. He lived in a very racist community which burned down their house and killed his father.
