Moral philosophy is separated into three headings and each representing a core area: Metaethics: It is the attempt to answer the essential ethical inquiries about the nature of ethical theory itself. It would usually include a couple of questions that would help answer it. What does ethical language mean? Do moral proofs exist? What are they like? How can you know if the moral verdicts used true or false? And if they are true what makes them true? Are moral verdicts cognitive or not, objective or subjective? Do we always have good reason to do our moral duty? Normative ethics: Normative ethics is the study of moral deed. It is one of the groups that studies the set of inquiries that come up when considering how one should to act, ethically speaking. The different questions that have to go through you to be able to answer, what is worth pursuing? How do we improve our lot in life? How is this issue affecting us? How do you feel towards this issue? From the 3 subgroups I found that value theory is the most interesting one as it talks about the problems that we face in our real time. It would usually answer questions such as, is abortion wrong? And controversy questions about topics that are interesting.
