My nursing career started right after high school. My mom suggested that I should take C.N.A class to have basic knowledge regarding health care. Nursing becomes interesting that I didn’t stop with the C.N.A class, I continue studying nursing and earned my licensed as a vocational nurse. I graduated from Cerritos college fall 2012, and then I worked as a medical-surgical nurse for three years. Now, I’m currently working full time in ambulatory care specialty clinic. I spend my spare time watching movies, going out with my family and friends. I enjoy different kind of movies. I love travelling; I want to discover new places at least once a year to be able experience the beauty of other places. I have recently been in Greece and enjoyed it
Response # 1 Hello Florence Enabulele, I enjoyed reading your illumination of advanced nurse practitioner policy competency. According to Hamric, Hanson, O’Grady and Tracy (2014), the word competencies relates to a comprehensive area of adept performance that comprise actions executed by the advanced nurse practitioners’ with processes and direct patient care. As a result of the intricacy related to health care competencies, the advanced nurse practitioners must be adept and knowledgeable mastering the clinical practice, delivery models, healthcare policy, safety and quality improvement and government regulation to advocate for their patient adequately (AONE, 2011). Indeed, you are on point as indicated in your post for the advanced practice

This paper will examine the purpose of Critical Thinking and its importance in the medical field, especially in the field of nursing. There are many aspects to nursing, but the two that will be discussed in this paper are critical thinking and concept mapping. Critical thinking is essential to skilled nursing; therefore, it is essential to nursing education. It is believed skilled nursing depends upon a well-reasoned philosophy of nursing rooted in a deep and rich conception of critical thinking. In the educational curriculum for nursing students, the focus has been to present problem-based learning and evidence-based practice concepts to help increase critical thinking skills.
1. What risk factors for gastroesophageal reflux or ulcer disease should the nurse ask about during her nursing assessment? Does the patient is using over-the-counter and/or prescription NSAIDs? COX-1 produces a prostaglandin that protects the stomach lining from stomach acid. NSAIDs inhibits COX-1 and increases the risk of ulcer disease developing.
Nursing philosophy, as per Petiprin (2023), is an approach to nursing that is created by individual nurses in their daily nursing practice. It assists in explaining what nursing means to the nurse, the role nurses play, how they interact with patients, and addresses their ethics (Petiprin, 2023). My personal philosophy of nursing is influenced by my ontological stance, the meta paradigm of nursing, my epistemological stance, personal experiences, and education. Throughout this paper, I will discuss my nursing beliefs () by explaining my ontological stance, how I utilize nursing knowledge through my epistemological stance, and how I can contribute to the nursing profession and its knowledge as a nursing scholar. Ontological Stance

Many of my thoughts about nursing as a career are still the same as they were at the beginning of the semester, but there are also many that have changed. To begin with, nursing is still the challenging, complex career that I knew it would be. From the beginning I knew it would take hard work and dedication to be able to complete the tasks that are required to become a registered nurse. I also still know that all of the challenges that I am facing are crucial to becoming a successful nurse. Without these experiences I would not have the best possible knowledge and skill to treat patients in the future.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a standout amongst the most popular degrees in human services. Truth be told, numerous doctor 's facilities today call for nurses to have a BSN as a beginning stage to a vocation. This is the reason numerous qualified registered nurses (RNs) have started going to a school of nursing to acquire their BSN degree with a specific end goal to propel their vocations. On the normal it obliges four years to get a BSN. It can be procured online despite the fact that you are as yet meeting expectations in a healing center.
My professional goal is to pursue a Doctor of Nurse Practice degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This would give me the opportunity to serve the underserved population and the less privileged, which is a burning desire and one of my personal goals. With this degree, I will be a vital asset in the efforts of providing resolutions concerning healthcare and its numerous challenges. My decision to become a nurse was inspired by the nursing professional code of ethics, which corresponds with my own personal beliefs.

I became interested in public health following a conversation surrounding my career choices with my older sister who currently work as a Nurse Manager. It all started with me reflecting on my life, and where it was heading post undergrad and working in job fields that were not fulfilling and satisfying. Henceforth I was determined to find a program that arouse passion and filled me with joy when thinking about countless possibilities I would have to help the community at large and started researching the avenues I can take with an MPH degree. I had always been fascinated with health care and wanted to be a part of the health field, but would often pull away from the notion as I thought all of health care consist of medical and clinical practices,
“A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes”. A quote which I have embraced, and one by which I live my life by. I have always had a great interest in Pharmacy because of the impacts that it has on our daily lives. I have become fascinated by this sector
When you’re younger you always talk about what you want to be when you grow up. Back in my younger days I wanted to be a professional athlete or a famous singer. I couldn’t decide which at the time. You imagine what your life will be like and how your days will go. I always imagined myself being rich and having a big house and fancy cars.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) launched a two-year initiative in 2008 to take action in order to assess and transform the needs for the nursing profession. They looked into the nurse’s responsibilities, roles, background, and education levels to foresee the future of the nursing profession, where they developed four key messages of recommendations. The first recommendation is “Nurses should practice to the full extent of their education and training.” (IOM, 2010) There are differences in nursing practices, education, licensing, and regulation across states, which leads to a lack of inconsistency in the health care industries.
Nursing is the career that is known as the helping profession. Nursing is the largest, the most diverse, and one of the most respected of all health care professions (D’Antonio, P.). Nurses provide healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. They play a huge role in an individual’s well-being once they enter a healthcare setting. Although this career can be extremely rewarding, just like any other career it can come with some cons.
