Romeo and Juliet is a well-known play, which was written by William Shakespeare in 1594. A lot of different actors have performed this play throughout the years. One the most important characters in the play has to be Romeo because if wouldn’t have come up to Juliet the play would have been really different. Romeo is romantic, impulsive, and brave.
To begin, Romeo is really romantic. You can tell he’s romantic by the stuff he says to Juliet: "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night." (Act I Scene 5). When Romeo saw Juliet for the first time he became in love. Based on this, the reader can infer that Romeo is a romantic guy. After Romeo talked to Juliet and left the Capulet’s ball, he felts differently. Romeo says, “I have to go to back to where my heart is.” (Act 2 Scene 1). Romeo at this point is feeling romantic and wants to go back to be with Juliet. Due to his romanticness, Romeo has become desperate and must be with Juliet. …show more content…

It is one of the first things you see in Romeo: "But this I pray, / That thou consent to marry us to-day" (Act 2 Scene 3). In that quote, it can be seen in Romeo's decision to marry so suddenly, particularly when he begs Friar Laurence to marry he and Juliet that day. Based on this, the reader can infer that Romeo is impulsive and there was no real reason to want to be married so suddenly. When Romeo finds his friends Benvolio and Mercutio engaged in a heated exchange with Tybalt, he rushes to stop the aggression between Mercutio and Tybalt. Unfortunately, Mercutio is stabbed because Romeo impulsively steps in the way, preventing Mercutio's sword from defending him.
