Romeo and Juliet The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet’s love story. The author of Romeo and Juliet is William Shakespeare, he wrote a play about two teens that had fallen in love. These teens’ family’s had a feud so they had to hide there love for each other. Even though Romeo and Juliet committed suicide, their untimely deaths are ultimately caused by the fate and family feud. Some people may think that the Nurse and Friar Lawrence are ultimately to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. They might think that because Friar Lawrence gave Juliet the sleeping potion to make her look dead. They also might think that the Nurse is to blame because the Nurse does not like Romeo after he kills Tybolt. After Romeo kills Tybolt, the Nurse betrays Juliet …show more content…

An example of a fate is the prologue. The prologue is a fate because it talks about love and how Romeo and Juliet cannot control whom they marry. In act one when Montague says to Benvolio, “I would thou wert so happy by thy stay to hear true shrift.” Montague is making fate with Benvolio while saying this. Another fate is when Peter asked Romeo to read the list who was attending the party, Peter asked Romeo to read the list so he would see Rosaline’s name on the list; causing fate. Fate is just a way to be rude to someone with a reasoning behind it. The family feud is also responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Juliet struggles with knowing the difference between loving Romeo and that he is an enemy to her family. Juliet’s family wanted Juliet to marry Paris so she had to hide her love for Romeo; knowing her parents weren’t going to be supportive for her relationship with Romeo. If there was not a family feud Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have to hide there love for each other. The family feud is one of the main reasoning behind the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
