In the quote,"We live in a culture of blame. People will blame anyone or anything for their misery sooner than take the responsibility to own it and make it better."in the article It's Not My Fault: The No-Excuse Plan for Overcoming Life's Obstacles by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, we see blame being something that everyone in this day and age resorts too, because we assume to make ourselves feel better or even help ourselves in a situation, a narcissistic person . Blame is a concept that everyone underworks at one point in time, you see a fault or wrong and you pin that issue on someone else, blaming them. This first takes off when Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each other and having the desire to go get married. Since their parents are enemies this makes it super difficult and hard to live life together, if they are seen together Romeo could be killed. This sets up the fear of being seen together and them needing to keep their marriage secret. Romeo being banished set up a bigger barrier between him and Juliet. Juliet doesn’t want to get remarried and taking a sleeping potion that was given to her by Friar. Romeo, thinking she died, he wanted to kill himself to be with Juliet and he did. Juliet found out his death and wanted to forever be with him like what Romeo thought, so she kills herself. Juliet and Romeo we can blame for their own deaths, because of the eventful events that built up to their deaths, it is clear that we can blame them because they caused their own deaths as long as Friar and his lack of guidance. Overall Blame is a huge thing in Romeo and Juliet, we can blame the two characters themselves, and Friar for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Blame in the quote shows that the culture we live in we can pin the blame on a character or something else instead of taking for ourselves. Romeo and Juliet are to majorly blame for their mistakes of marriage, and Friar as well for his undecided guidance between Romeo and Juliet. I do agree majorly with the quote
