A retrospective of San Diego Public Library children's librarian Clara Breed, who became "a lifeline to the outside world" for Japanese American children relocated during World War II to internment camps. Breed "distributed stamped and addressed postcards to her young friends, asking them to write to her and describe their life in camp."
