This exhibit "examines issues of war, peace, dissent and dialogue during critical periods in the 20th century when free speech and civil liberties were threatened." It features works by artists and almost 75 digitized items (from books, pamphlets, newspapers, handbills, and other materials) accompanied by essays on conscientious objectors and Japanese-American internment during World War II, McCarthyism during the Cold War, and Vietnam War protests.
