This media research project "compiles an annual list of 25 news stories of social significance that have been overlooked, under-reported or self-censored by the country's major national news media"; the lists are published in a newsletter, which is available on the site (with a few gaps) from 1997 to the present. The stories are selected by a national panel of media experts and the site is administered by a Sonoma State (California) University sociology professor. |
