Terms of UseThe Internet Public Library web site and related publications are offered to further education, and fair use is encouraged. In order to manage and sustain these offerings, the following rules govern your use of the web site services and materials. Plagiarism. If you copy words, images, or other materials from our site and submit them as your own in homework assignments or scholarly papers, or use such materials without clearly acknowledging the appropriate source, then you have plagiarized -- and may face disciplinary sanctions from your school. Permission requests.Any use, whether in print or electronic format, beyond that specified in the fair use guidelines issued by the U.S. Copyright Office, must have explicit permission and/or licensing from the Internet Public Library Consortium. All permission requests must be made prior to use. If your request is not covered in the guidelines that follow and if you have any question as to whether your use is fair use, you should contact the Internet Public Library Consortium for additional information and guidance at the address given below in the section "How to Request Copyright Permission." Credit and copyright notice.A statement such as the following must appear with all material used from the Internet Public Library Consortium publications: "Reproduced with permission from the Internet Public Library Consortium, copyright [year] by the Internet Public Library Consortium. All rights reserved." Accompanying that statement of acknowledgement, please clearly display the Internet Public Library .org domain name (http://www.ipl.org), and, on web pages, please link to it. The statement and link may be combined: for example, "Reproduced with permission from copyright [year] by the Internet Public Library Consortium (http://www.ipl.org). All rights reserved." Exclusions.Permission does not automatically extend to any items identified as reprinted by permission of other publishers and copyright holders. Such items must be excluded from any print or electronic reproduction of the material unless separate permissions are obtained. It will be the responsibility of the user to identify such materials and obtain the permissions. Links and Framing.Links may be made to pages as long as it is clear that this content belongs to the Internet Public Library Consortium and the URLs associated with those linked pages are displayed. Similarly, the Internet Public Library Consortium content may not be framed unless it is made clear that the content is hosted by the Internet Public Library Consortium and the URLs of the framed the Internet Public Library Consortium pages are displayed.
