"CEDEFOP is a European Centre for the development of vocational training. Since 1976, CEDEFOP has been involved in promoting and developing vocational training of young people, and the continuing training of adults, primarily through European-wide co-ordination of analysis and research activities." This site contains a wealth of information about CEDEFOP, its publications, its memebers, and its events and activities. A library of information about vocational training is also available.

"Work Integrated Learning combines professional work experiences with classroom studies in many forms, such as internships, study abroad, clinical rotations, etc. The site offers membership options, but there are resources available to non-members, such as papers and articles, and information about training and conferences.

"ORT is one of the world's largest and oldest international technical training organisations, having been founded in St Petersburg in Czarist Russia in 1880 to provide basic trades and agricultural skills. ORT today is a private, non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit making organisation which meets the educational and manpower training needs of contemporary societies in every part of the world. ORT was originally a Russian acronym for 'Obshestwo Propostranienia Truda,' meaning The Society for Handicrafts and Agricultural Work....the rather more catchy expansion "Organisation for Rehabilitation and Training" has been retroactively imposed on the acronym ORT."
