Country Music Association

The Country Music Association, a not-for-profit mutual interest membership organization, was founded in 1958 to promote country music. The association works throughout the world, with the music industry, to "establish country music as a mainstream format." CMA's activites include industry honors, such as its highly coveted CMA Awards; the CMA Awards are telecast yearly on network television. The association also sponsors educational seminars and disseminates "facts and figures that evidence Country Music's considerable popularity. The site links to select online articles from "Communique" and "Close Up"; both are published by CMA. Other links include information regarding membership, special events, and press releases. The "New" link is a searchable page to learn of updated items.
International Bluegrass Music Association

"The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) is a professional trade association dedicated to promoting and expanding the success of bluegrass music. The organization has over 2500 members in all 50 of the United States and in over 30 foreign countries." Activities include music festivals, trade shows, community outreach and education, publications, and volunteer services.
