The mission of AAPA is "To promote an interest understanding, appreciation, and recognition of American Art Pottery" and "To unify and strengthen the voice of collectors and dealers of American art pottery". The site includes book reviews, convention and event listings, and discussion groups.
Folk Art Society of America

The Folk Art Society, founded in 1987, is a non-profit organization which includes members from all phases of self-taught and outsider art. Artists, educators, writers, historians, curators, collectors, dealers, museums, and libraries bond together in their study, exhibition, and preservation of folk art. Included in the home page is access to excerpts from the society's quarterly publication, the "Folk Art Messenger", and information about events and conferences. There are folk art books for sale at a members-only discounted price and links to other related sites. Contact information includes e-mail and an 800 phone number.
