Sixteenth Century Journal

"The Sixteenth Century Studies Conference, started in 1969, includes over 1,500 early modern scholars located throughout the world, all engaged in research and study of the period that begins with the invention of the printing press to the end of the Thirty Years' War, or about 1660. The members of the Conference work in numerous fields of study ranging from theology and church history to art history, history of science, various national literatures, rhetoric, and specific study groups such as the Calvin Studies Conference, Frühe Neuzeit Interdisziplinär, Peter Martyr Vermigli Library Project, Society for Confraternity Studies, Society for Reformation Research, and the Tyndale Society, among others. The SCSC emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches and is not limited to a single aspect of the early modern era (such as the Italian Renaissance or Shakespearean Studies)." The SCSC site provides links to the annual SCSC meeting, prizes, publications, and the web including Yahoo, The Atrium, and Project Aldus.
