American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies

Founded in 1969, The American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies is an interdisciplinary society whose purpose is to examine scholarly activities from the later seventeenth through the early years of the nineteenth centuries. The site contains information about the society itself: membership, officers and committees,meetings, conferences, and seminars, teaching support, fund raising, professional and career development, and current news. It also has full text online issues of the society's official publication, Eighteenth-Century Studies, a quarterly journal whose mission is to publish the best of current writing on historiographical, critical and theoretical ideas of the eighteenth-century and the quarterly newsletter, News Circular.
