"The Theodore Roosevelt Association was chartered by Congress in 1920 to preserve the memory of President Theodore Roosevelt. The organization previously owned Sagamore Hill, the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace and TR Island, all now given to the American People. Much of the Theodore Roosevelt Collection at Harvard University and some of the material in the Library of Congress orignated or is still owned by the association. The TRA continues as a resource for scholars at all levels.
