- "The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers exists to promote and protect the rights, interests, and safety of its members through solidarity, aggressive representation, and education." From this site, you can access current and past issues of the online newsletter or the Locomotive Engineers Journal. You can also find out about education and training or the safety task force. Some sections of the site are for members only. The first page of the site contains a movie, which you can cancel while it's loading if you don't want to see it.

There are also BMWE Directories and information about some of the programs in which they are involved. Part of the site is for members only and requires a password.
- Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen

- "The BRS was founded in 1901 as a trade union representing railroad employees working in what was then the new craft of signaling. As railroads increasingly turned to the new technology of signal systems to improve the safety and efficiency of their operations, the BRS expanded and eventually grew into a national organization representing the men and women who install and maintain signal systems for most of the nation's railroads. The BRS represents nearly 10,000 members working for railroads across the United States and into Canada." This site includes sections on news, safety, health & welfare, publications, internet activism, employment, and significant issues. There's also a page that explains what signalmen do.

This site provides general information about the organization, its membership, activities, and publications.

- National Railway Historical Society

- The purpose of the National Railway Historical Society "is to preserve historical material and information pertaining to railroad transportation, to issue publications relation to the subject, and to encourage the use of rail transportation. The society publishes a bi-monthly journal, The National Railway Bulletin, containing articles of historical, educational, and topical subjects of railroad interest." This site contains links to other chapters, railroad memorabilia, historic photographs, and other railroad web sites.
