The American Road & Transportation Builders Assn. (ARTBA) is "the only national organization that focuses exclusively on transportation construction issues." It consists of 4,000 members representing "the nation's leading transportation contractors, equipment manufacturers, planning and design firms, material and professional service suppliers, educators, government officials, and public/private ventures participants." This site provides information about the history of ARTBA, its divisions, and membership services. It also provides recent ARTBA news releases, policy positions, and legislative issues affecting the industry as well as links to other transportation construction sites.

Principal non-governmental body in the United States dedicated to transportation safety. Site carries online versions of popular Institute publications, including "Injury, Collision & Theft Losses by make and model, 1996-98". Site also includes vehicle crashworthiness ratings, highway fatality and injury statistics, and consumer guides to buying safer cars and airbag safety.

The United Motorcoach Association (UMA), founded in 1971 as the United Bus Owners of America, consists of more than 850 professional bus and motorcoach companies. Associate members include the suppliers and manufacturers who serve this industry.
