African American Heritage Preservation Foundation, Inc.

AAHPF is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation of African American history. "The main goals of the AAHPF include soliciting grants to fund full-time maintenance and preservation activities of African American historical sites. This work will be monitored by the foundation staff and performed by noted experts in the field of historic preservation." The site provides information on the projects they have worked as well as sources and links to information on preservation of African American historical sites.
African Studies Association

Founded in 1957 as a nonprofit organization, the African Studies Association (ASA) consists of a membership of individuals who are interested in African affairs. Most live in America with other residing in Canada, Asia, Europe, and Africa and are school teachers from K-12, researchers associated with universities, and others who work in the fields of international developement, health, foreign affairs, and government service. The mission of the ASA is to provide a forum for individuals who profess a scholarly and professional interest in Africa. The site points to institutional officers, mission, local business including annual, board, business and town meetings, and it lists many links associated with the organization's mission through the African Studies Main Menu.

ASALH is a national association "commited to education, research, and publishing African American history and culture." Their website provides information for current programs, a biograpy on Carter Godwin Woodson, the founder, locations of other branches, and information on the annual meeting.

This site provides links to numerous points of interest about the organization, including information on the 1997 leadership conference and an extensive list of email and other addresses to facilitate contact with the officers.
National Association of African American Studies

The National Association of African American Studies seeks to further research and promote interest in African American studies. The association provides a forum for research and artistic endeavors, provides information and contact resources for its members, and conducts educational programs. The website includes membership and conference information.
National Black MBA Association, Inc.

"The National Black MBA Association, Inc. (NBMBAA) is a non-profit organization of minority MBAs, business professionals, entrepreneurs and MBA students. This site includes a profile of the organization, membership information, a job network, and news about their annual conference.
National Brotherhood of Skiers

"The NBS has 84 predominantly African American ski clubs scattered through out the U.S. and Canada. Our mission is to identify, select and finance training of a potential Olympic caliber African American youth and promote skiing within the African American communities."
