Association for Research in International Adoption resulted for the efforts of its founder, Teena M. McGuinness, PhD, RN to bring together researchers investigating various aspects of international adoption. The list of such professionals and their contact information provided by the A.R.I.A. is the most comprehensive such list available on the Internet. Additional information provided includes a collection of pointers to resources on development of internationally adopted children and support resources for their families.

The Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute provides information about all aspects of adoption to adoption professionals and others who are interested in any aspect of adoption. The institute maintains and provides free access to database of research literature on adoption, publishes original research and bibliographies on various issues of adoption. Other services include providing information on legal issues of adoption, adoption programs and services across the US, consultations on adoption policy and practice issues.
International Concerns for Children, Inc.

International Concerns for Children, Inc. (ICC) is a cahritable nonprofit orgnaization run by volunteers. Its main goals are educating public as a whole and concerned individuals on the problems of homeless childrens and ways of helping those children. ICC also provides information about adoption and, specifically, intercountry adoption. ICC publishes "Report on Intercountry Adoption" - a yearly comprehensive compilation of information on the subject folowed by monthly updates, a quarterly Newsletter on refugee and homeless children issues as well as adoption and a monthly bulletin listing hcildren available for adoption. All of the ICC publications are available by subscription. Other services include personal counceling for prospective adoptive parents by experienced adoptive parents and an Internet list of adoption agencies.
