It all started when I was hanging out at THE ZONE. This was a good place for me to be. The people there were friendly and able to converse at an intellectual level. It was a creative hot bed. The city finally found a way to shut it down, by making it impossible to be a viable business. I became involved when I no longer had this sanctuary. We needed to overcome the political obstacles with the city. Rather than fight it, draining us financially and physically, we decided to focus on Detroit.
