Alpena Light

"Alpena, Michigan"


Built: 1914

This light stands at the mouth of the Thunder Bay River at the end of a pier which juts out into Thunder Bay of Lake Huron. The bright red structure houses a Fourth Order Fresnel lens which has a focal plane 64 feet above the water level of the lake.
