Tchefuncte River Light

"Madisonville, Louisiana"


Built: 1868

"Located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain at the west side of the mouth of the Tchefuncte River, this 40-foot tall conical brick tower replaced the original 30-foot tower which was destroyed during the Civil War."
