Verdens Ende Light (Replica)

"Verdens Ende, Norway"

Built:

This stone structure with its pivoting fire basket was built as a replica of the old lighthouses that used to burn wood and then coal in the basket to warn vessels of danger or to guide them into a port or harbor. It is located at the end of the peninsula that separates the Tønsberg Fjord and the Oslo Fjord.
