Lime Point Light

"Sausalito, California"

Built: 1883
Automated: 1961

"Lime Point was originally built as a fog-signal station and has remained as such throughout its history, although a white lens lantern was added at the station in 1900. Lime Point is located at the northern base of the Golden Gate Bridge. The building seen there today is what remains of the original fog-signal building. The rest of the buildings have been removed."
