Tim Giago was born in 1934 in Pine Ridge Reservation, S.D. He went to San Jose Junior College and to the University of Nevada, Reno. Giago is a publisher and owner of Lakota Times. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Multi-Cultural Management Training Program at the University of Missouri.
