Vincent L. Mendoza
, 1947-
Vincent Mendoza was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1947, the son of a Creek mother and a Mexican father. He is a Vietnam War veteran, and his autobiographical first book Son of Two Bloods, won the North American Indian Prose Award in 1994. Currently he lives in McAlester, Oklahoma, where he works as a freelance writer.
