Gus Palmer, Jr., 1943-

Augustine Palmer was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Palmer attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate work and has attended Oklahoma and Stanford for his graduate work in English and creative writing. Palmer’s poetry has been strongly influenced by Yvor Winters. Palmer has also written, directed and produced the film “Mina. ” Additionally, Palmer writes short ficiton and translates Kiowa narratives.
