Arizona -- Basketmaker period, 100 to 300 A.D., Diameter, 18 inches, 46 cm.

Crude bowl of unbaked clay, mixed with the fiber of shredded juniper bark. Probably used as a tray for parching seeds.(From a drawing by Kenneth M. Chapman )
