Tesuque ceremonial jar

Tesuque -- Circa 1600-1880, Diameter 10 inches, 25 cm.

Ceremonialjar , with clouds, rain, lightning, mountains and fertility symbols. At the base is "Avanyu" the mythical horned serpent, guardian of water sources, with a wavy water symbol in his zig-zag body, and horn showing at extreme right.
