Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Usenet
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/faq/part1/
"This document discusses some questions and topics that occur repeatedly on Usenet. They frequently are submitted by new users, and result in many followups, sometimes swamping groups for weeks. The purpose of this note is to head off these annoying events by answering some questions and warning about the inevitable consequence of asking others"

FAQ: Current Usenet Spam Thresholds and Guidelines
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/spam-faq/
"This article is intended to describe the current consensus spam thresholds and ensure that the definitions of these terms are availible. It is believed that most, if not all, spam cancellers use these terms and definitions in their work; however, many other people use the terms inappropriately, which leands to confusion in discussions. This is an informal FAQ aimed at clarity and understanding, not anal-retentive correctness."

"The following documents the process to create, rename, remove, or change the moderation status of newsgroups in the Big Eight hierarchies (those newsgroups with names starting with comp.*, humanities.*, misc.*, news.*, rec.*, sci.*, soc.*, and talk.*). The process described below goes through a discussion phase, a voting phase, and a verification phase to attempt to ensure proposals are well-conceived and meet a real need. "

Internet FAQ Archives
http://www.faqs.org/

Searchable and organized by newsgroups, category, author, or archive name. The second part is "an archive of 'Internet Best Current Practices (BCPs)', 'Request For Comments (RFCs)', 'For Your Information (FYIs)' and 'IAB Internet Standards (STDs)'. BCP, FYIs and STDs are a subset of the RFC series. The RFC series covers a broad range of interests. Core topics focus on the Internet and the TCP/IP protocol suite. However, many topics related to computer communication are found in RFCs."
