America's Second Harvest

This site tackles the issue of hunger in America through a three-pronged approach: give help, get informed, and go local. Locations of local food banks, news that affects hunger and poverty in the United States, and ways to make donations can all be found here. On the homepage there is also a "Food Waste Counter" that is a running tally of the amount of food wasted in America. A list of informative related links is also available. Available in English and Spanish.

Food Research and Action Center

"Founded in 1970 as a public interest law firm, FRAC is a nonprofit and nonpartisan research and public policy center that serves as the hub of an anti-hunger network of thousands of individuals and agencies across the country." This site includes current news and analyses of hunger issues, lists federal food aid programs, and information on the Campaign to End Childhood Hunger in America.
