- Boys Town, originally known as Father Flanagan's Boys' Home, has been treating abused, abandoned, and negleced boys since 1920. In 1979, the organization also began including girls in Father Flanagan's family. The original organization is headquartered in National Historic Landmark village of Boys Town, the site Father Flanigan built west of Omaho in 1920, but 18 sites can now be found in 13 states.
