Union Pacific eastbound
at Archer Hill, east of Cheyenne, Wyoming
Many railroads have experienced tremendous traffic growth in recent years. Because of this, they haven't had enough locomotives to pull all their trains. Leasing locomotives is a common solution to this problem. Here a Union Pacific locomotive leads a leased SD-70M from the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. The train is heading up Archer Hill, east of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
