Burlington Northern southbound Coal Train
at Palmer Lake, Colorado
A major source of income for Burlington Northern is the service it provides hauling coal from the Powder River basin in Eastern Wyoming to power plants across the country. This loaded train is just entering Palmer Lake, Colorado located midway between Denver and Pueblo. Blue and white locomotives from Oakway Leasing are mixed with Burlington Northern's green and black to pull their train south toward Texas.
