Also known as feed readers, feed aggregators or news readers, these tools are often a part of Web portals that allow users to keep up with Web content from a variety of sources in one place in real time.

FriendFeed is a real-time, conversational, social networking stream that aggregates social networking sites (such as Flickr, Facebook, Delicious and Twitter).
