Some universities do not have a good degree plan and some students take various courses at different times as long as they are completed prior to graduation. I am pleased that Kaplan does have a good degree plan for the nursing students and that my first class was Advanced Nursing Roles. I believe this course provides clarity to the various roles for advanced nurses. One of the things I expected to learn in this course was history of the advanced practice nurse. In learning the history of the profession, it allows a perspective of where advance nurses need to continue with moving forward.
