The author and sender is Hector Tobar and it is quite obvious that he doesn’t support the racial prejudices that comes from Trump. Furthermore, he calls Sherriff Arpaio for El Cuco, he calls Bill O’Reilly for El Cadejo and he calls Ann Coulter for Llorona, who refers to Mexico as “a third world hellhole”. It is clear that Tobar quickly compares republicans with monsters, to let the Americans know what kind of people they are about to elect for the presidency. He has a final purpose with the comparisons which he finishes with his last contrast, which is America to the Weimar Republic. He exaggerates these contrast and actually compares Donald Trump with Adolf Hitler. What they have in common is how they gather one nation to pick on a certain defenseless minority. In this case it is the Mexicans vs the Jews during world war 2. He warns the American people about these events, without coming on too strong in his persuasion. He presents obvious comparisons and he appeals to the logos in people. In the end it’s just monsters from your imagination that creates the scary mood. Reading between the lines gives more insight and it may now not only seem as a conviction to the Mexican community that Donald Trump is dangerous, but also to the republican party and why they shouldn’t let a man like Trump govern the country. He directly compares the conflict between Trump and the Mexicans to Hitler and the Jews, and there is a clear evidence that Trump has similar views on Mexicans, as Hitler had on the Jews. It probably won’t be realized in the same scale but the views they have are similar. Tobars claim and evidence is not on point but it’s possible to debate whether it’s an actual argument or not. He speaks to the logic sense when comparing the two

One of Chavez’s big topics is on how the media influences the public to believe that Latinos are planning an invasion or take-over in order to gain the land that was originally Mexico’s. The topic of Latina reproduction and fertilization comes up multiple times through Chavez’s ethnography. In Hector Tobar’s, The Barbarian Nurseries, he brings to light the personal and political anger directed at Araceli by those who do not even know her. In a wider scope, the anger is directed towards undocumented Mexican immigrants who are living in the United States. Through the character’s ideas on illegal immigrants, Hector Tobar implies that the private and public anger towards undocumented Mexican immigrants, stem from the assumption that they are all dangerous, fear of cultural change, and their impact on the economy. Due to undocumented Mexican immigrants who crossed the border illegally, many often assume that they are criminals. Many are angry because they believe that the immigrants have no right to be in the United States, and

Trump the Racist Don’t worry, none of this is offensive, Trump says, because he “loves the Mexican people” and “the Latinos love Trump.” Donald Trump’s relationship with his business partners has been in a spiraling down as he continues to refuse to apologize for his outrageous behavior. Trump has turned down every opportunity to take back his remarks regarding Mexican immigrants. Instead every time he talks about these issues they have only grown worse and more out of control. Immigration seems like it has been a hot subject recently, and it’s always been like that. Being such a controversial and relevant topic, many articles and stories alike talk about immigration. Since there are many different views on the topic of immigration, there are many different texts that talk about it, that still do have their similarities. In the story, The Red Umbrella, the subject of immigration is mentioned quite a lot, just as much as it is in the article “A ‘Band-Aid’ for 800 Kids’”, in different and similar ways. Having a similar subject means that these two stories are bound to be similar in one way or another, right?
