In the article, why our approach to Bullying is Bad for kids. The author expounds on several concepts. One, the author elaborates on the past definition of the phrase/concept of bullying as opposed to today’s definition which consist of a broader phase of bullying such as isolation. The author also sheds light on how preadolescent and adolescent development can affect how children deal with bullying. Lastly, the article discusses how labels can be detrimental to all parties.
In my professional opinion, this article was informative. The article gave us insight regarding bullying from a different perspective. However, I do not agree with this article. I think at times we fail to hold people responsible for their actions particularly children.
Argument Analysis Overusing the Bully Label by Susan Eva Porter is an argumentative essay that discusses the opposing viewpoints concerning bullying and perception. The main idea of this argument is to determine if the name “bully” is given to kids by adults for the wrong reasons. By relating ethos, logos, and pathos to the research and claims of the author, a complete analysis will determine if the argument she has presented would appeal to the reader and sway them to one view. The first main claim presented shows how adults can act irrationally to their view of bullying.
In “How to Handle a Bully,” by Kathiann Kowalski, an experienced journalist, Kowalski reports the different strategies to stop bullying. She informs that bullying is at its peak in the late teenage years, but can start in an early age. Kowalski concurs that girls intimidates as much as boys; however, they do it differently. She explores many reasons why bullying occurs at the first place, and who starts bullying. Kowalski exemplifies the situations that victims could be in, and the solution on how to handle the bully.
If only people could realize how bullying takes a toll on a person’s life, then we will know the reason why people bully, short and long term effects of bullying, and how bullying promotes a victims

Bullying has been a very challenging issue to resolve for many years. It is increasingly spreading by the use of social media, where most bullies spread malice at the touch of a button. Bullying’s prevalence has lead to numerous consequences such as anxiety, depression, diminished effort in academics, and suicide. Many schools have implemented effective anti-bullying policies to prevent these consequences from occurring, but this school’s current policy hasn’t incorporated strict rules and consequences to battle issues associated with bullying.
