In the Constitution of the United States of America there are a set of rights for citizens called the bill of rights but should animals be able to have their own bill of rights? The Bill of Rights are rights given to citizens of the United states of America. Animal Bill of Rights are rights for animals who can not speak for themselves. Only some animals should be given some rights.
For years humans have been using animals as their source of food, but never have known that animals can feel pain so they would be killed ruthlessness. There has been no law for centuries that tells citizens how animals should or should not be treated. With no law enforce it is still good to have a moral thought are why animals shouldn't be abused. Most people consider chickens, cows, and pigs as a product or just food rather than an animal with a life God has given them. In the documentary “Food Inc.” shows varieties of examples of how all the farm animals we eat are very mistreated before killed. “Food Inc.” shows the chickens that are kept in chicken coops how they are not allowed to see the sunlight or have enough space

Most meat sold in America is not all from one animal. "Food Inc." shows that the meat is all grined into big chunks of meat and the left overs of the other parts of the body from different cows. Cows should be able to have enough space to the point where they are not stressed or always standings in their own feces. There is no need to mistreat cows before they are slaughtered. The cows will be eaten no matter what but it would be good for the cows to have a good life before being killed. When cows are relax their muscles will not get tense up, there for the meat would taste better and be more softer to cut into.Having better care for the food animals may increase cost of food, but it's a good deal knowing that your food is %100 safe to
In the early twentieth century American ranchers tried to break up the Beef Trust. In 1917 there were four main companies that controlled the entire industry. While this trust was effectively busted, allowing ranchers to sell their cattle at competitive prices for a few decades, the Reagan administration allowed the top four meatpacking companies to combine. In 1970 they slaughtered 21% of the nation’s cattle today the slaughter 84%. This is causing many ranchers to sell their cattle and quit.
Did you know that it is a possibility for the beef, and dairy industry to not even be a thing in ten years.? Wow, that is some news nobody wants to hear. That means no more milk, steaks, or hamburgers. Now that is just unfortunate but there is hope for the industry. We have some of the greatest people in the nation to make that statement fail.
It is basically survival of the fittest. Giving animal’s rights should be necessary only if they are being abused. For example, forcing dogs to fight other dogs till one is dead. If the animals are killed for our basic human needs than it should not be wrong. I agree with Bob Stevens in his letter to Rifkins when he mentions the fact that pigs would get toys even though there are human beings in the world who do not have such things.
They make stuff cheap and nasty and we buy it because why not. Just don’t buy it. “Cattle raised for food are also regularly dosed with drugs such as antibiotics to make them grow faster and keep them alive in these miserable conditions. Instead of taking sick cattle to see a veterinarian, many feedlot owners simply give the animals even higher doses of human-grade antibiotics in an attempt to keep them alive long enough to make it to the slaughterhouse.” "The Beef Industry."
In addition, cows and horses are being bought from slaughterhouses. After that, they are being dissected. Because of the harm towards these animals, students disagree with the dissection policy. 4.
The fast food industry abuses the fact of animals not having the same right as humans. Factory farming mistreat many animals such as calves by taking them away from their mothers and leaving them all alone. According to “9 Fact About Factory Farming That Will Break Your Heart” from Huffpost states, “ The calves are also kept in near or total darkness and suffered from forced anemia, for no reason other than to keep their flesh pale and attractive.” This shows that workers didn’t care about calves by leaving them suffering in darkness and not being feed well which forced them to have anemia. If workers at factoring farming cared about these animals they wouldn’t treat them like this.
Something I didn’t consider was the way they treat animals that literally feed the world. After watching the video I was shown, I was shocked and couldn’t believe the way they treated animals. It’s horrible the way people can do that to living animals with no hesitation. After watching and reading these facts about the conditions that animals are forced to endure on factory farms you might be displeased to learn that 99% of all of the meat that is sold in the United States comes from factory farms. What is Factory Farming?
I remember four years ago, I was watching a documentary that showed the process and handling of beef industries in Canada and US. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the numbers of animals that were killed for the beef industries. After seeing the documentary, I decided to stop eating meat. However, there are more convincing reasons not to eat meat if we see it’s negative effects on our environment. In CNN’s website, I read “Why Beef is The New Suv” written by John D Sutter, opinion columnist.
Factory farmed animals have no federal legal protection from horrifying abuses that would otherwise be illegal if they were practiced on dogs or cats: neglect, mutilations, crippling, transport through all weather extremes, and inhumane slaughter. Nevertheless, farmed animals are no less sensitive or capable of feeling pain than dogs or cats, which we cherish as companions. Animals, like humans, are healthiest when they eat certain foods; “Cows, have stomachs that are designed to digest grass. Pigs can digest grass, corn, grains, soy and other plants. Chickens and turkeys can eat plants as well as bugs and worms found on the pasture.”
In Mark Bittman’s talk, entitled What’s wrong with what we eat, he discusses all the food we waste and how to reduce our food waste. Due to all the meat we eat, “livestock is the second-highest contributor to atmosphere-altering gases and produces more greenhouse gases than transportation” (Bittman). Livestock also contributes to land degradation, air and water pollution, water shortages, and loss of biodiversity. However, Bittman is quick to point out that the problem isn’t the cattle, but how we use them. We are producing cattle simply to eat and much of the meat they produce is simply thrown away if it is not purchased by a certain date.
The documentary Cowspiracy, overall, wants to tell us about the truth behind animal agriculture, which heavily affects the survival of our planet. Basically, the documentary said that animal agriculture is responsible for most of the greenhouse gases that lead to global warming, which also affects our planet. The goal of this documentary is to make us believe that the meat industry, and by extension the fast food industry, are the causes that lead to most of our environmental issues. Also, the documentary stated that the amount of water that is used for cows and other livestock is way too much and our planet will gradually face a lack of water. The solution that they propose is just to become vegetarians, which will solve everything.
The meat packing industry disregards animal’s emotions and their rights all together by the malicious treatment of animals. The way animals are being treated is highly unfair. Being slaughtered for their body parts and suffering just to be used for protein or an asset to humans is unbearable. An animal’s life is at equal values to a human and deserve the same rights as
Animal Rights Some people assume that just because animals cannot speak that they cannot feel pain. It is not okay to torture living beings that have their own thoughts and breathe the exact same air us humans breathe. It is unjust and selfish to stand by and take no action while everyday hundreds if not thousands of innocent animals die without reason. No matter how much fur or how many limbs the creature has; it should be treated as equal as a person. A heart beat is a heartbeat regardless of the body it’s in.
More money is being spent by trying to sell bigger animals and at the end we end up paying for medical treatments that could be avoided. Let’s start making conscience and promote the welfare of animal as part of food
“To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being. The more helpless the creature, the more that it is entitled to protection by man from the cruelty of man," this was once said by Mahatma Gandhi on why we should appreciate animals as much as human beings. Animals are gifts from God and without them, the world would not be complete. Millions of animals are subjected to imprisonment and have terrible procedures done in order to satisfy our needs. By needs, these creatures are being tortured or killed for the products we use.
