I think that the theme or main focus of animal farm is about the struggle of trying to get power. Animal farm is a story that relates to the Russian Revolution and all of the farm animals are given a class. Some animals, such as the pigs, have more power than others. Such as the sheep and other animals on the farm. The two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, are trying to gain power from each other. Snowball represents Trotsky and Napoleon represents Stalin. The book is showing that too much power can sometimes be a bad thing. Some of the animals are struggling to get power and when one of them gets it (Napoleon), they can turn bad and change things around.
