For example, Alex Lin went to the government to get a law passed to ban dumping electronics in trash cans. He influenced others to see why it important to use e-waste instead of dumping electronics. Another example is Malala, who inspired others with her blog talking about how her life was like in Pakistan with the Taliban, and advocating for girls education; as shown in “A Heroic Return.” “Malala has been an Internet blogger, or writer, since she was 11 years old. In 2011 she was awarded Pakistan’s National Peace Award for her bravery in writing about the difficulties of life and education in the shadow of the Taliban.” This shows that Malala risked her life to make sure that others heard about the hardships in her country by someone who was experiencing it herself. She inspired others like Zuriel Oduwole to advocate for girls education. Another example is Faye Carey, who helps her local pet control get people to adopt the animals by creating a facebook page. Faye Carey influences others by showing them that they should adopt pets from a shelter or pet control instead of a breeder, as shown in “Teenage Girl s Dog’s Best Friend.” “It can be stressful trying to juggle, because we’ve got animals at home and schoolwork and chores and everything else.” Faye Carey shows that even though she has so much to handle in her life, she still has time to care for animals. This shows that Teen activists influence and inspire others by how they change the world for the better. All in all, Teen activism is a belief that you can change the world for the better, one cause at a time. Teen activists find a cause they care about, and they might start small, and grow into something much greater, but they can also inspire others to follow in their footsteps. As Alex Lin says, “Every long journey begins with a single

Declaration of Independence When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for teenagers to become one of the same as adults. We deserve to be independent such as the adults have had their independence like the rest of the world so why can’t we have that same right. Its up to us to request that independence so that we can make a difference in the world just like any other adult can. The world should understand what we really deserve, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare their independence among us.

It is important for parents to stop labeling everything thing their teen does as “teen rebellion” (Abowitz). And to stop overly judging what their sons/daughters wears, listen to, and how they speak; the more we label them as teen rebels, the more they will feel like they are
People must find strength to persevere when faced with wars and conflicts in their countries. Elie Wiesel, author of Night, found strength during World War II and the Holocaust from his Father. Malala Yousafzai from “Malala Yousafzai’s Nobel Peace Prize Lecture” found strength in the form of activism. Both Elie and Malala used these strengths to survive during times of war and conflict. Elie Wiesel’s strength comes from his family, mainly his father because he persevered during the Holocaust since his father was with him.
Teens feel like they have no choices but what there parents, teachers, or other authority figures, tell them. Just like how all the districts had no choice, but to do what the capital says. Teenagers are very rebellious and don’t want to do what authority figures tell them. Modern day teens are very much like the main character of the Hunger Games Katniss. Katniss was always being told by the capital what to do.

Malala stood up against the taliban, and demanded the right of education for girls. She has rallied the world in the fight to educate young girls, and children in general. But her greatest gift has been to demonstrate to everyone around the world, that it is possible to stand up against what is wrong. Malala has shown courage because she knew the risk it would take to advocate for the education of girls. Malala states, “ All I want is an education, and I am afraid of no one”.
There are many things in the world that could make a society better. Many people look down on some adults because they don’t think that kids and young people could make a difference in society. They laugh when a young person say that we want to make a difference because we have to stereotype that we just go out and smoke, take drugs, and never want to pay attention to the society. Many grown ups do not think that kids cant do it, they just want their kids to be normal and go to school just like the other kids. Young people came make a change in society by their Jobs, Community Services, and voting.
