Arthur Shawcross
The interview and Documentary I focused on was Arthur Shawcross who was known as the Genesee River Killer because he dumped a lot of bodies around the river. He killed 11 women Victims, including two children who he raped before he murdered them in and around Rochester, New York. Shawcross was the type of Killer who enjoys mutilate his victims and committed to acts of cannibalism. Most of the murders Shawcross committed took place when he was imprisoned and released for the child murders he did. He had also tended to target prostitutes and women from lower income backgrounds.

She had been raped and murdered. Neighbors remembered that Shawcross had been seen with Karen in the vicinity of the bridge before her disappearance, and he had a history of minor run-ins with local children. Shawcross came under immediate suspicion
He was arrested on October 3, 1972, and finally confessed to both killings, although he was only charged with Karen Hill's killing, given the lack of evidence tying him to Jack Blake's death. He received a 25-year jail sentence, and third wife Penny divorced him shortly thereafter.
Every time Shawcross blinked he was replaying what he did to the women he killed. While reflecting on the crime he accepted and was tired of questioning 14-16 hours later that’s when he finally confessed to everything. In interview constantly repeated back to Shawcross what happen, just to make sure his story would stay the same.
The interviewer used a lot of probing to find out information about what he did to those women. Interviewer asked questions that mostly begin with “what” and “how” to get more detail from the interviewee. The questions that interviewer asked that begin with “Do you..” or “are you” to be able to get a personal reflection from the interviewee. John Louis Evans, half of a well known criminal duo, committed over forty crimes while on parole with his partner, Wayne Ritter. Included in those many incidents were robberies, kidnappings, and extortion schemes. Eventually, these crimes turned deadly when the pair killed a pawn shop owner in the midst of a robbery. After only fifteen minutes in court for the murder, Evans was sentenced to be put to death by electric chair. Evans was put to death on April 22, 1983 in Yellow Mama, an electric chair built by a convict six decades before, and had not been used in over two.
When John white was 17 his parents, Conner and Sarah white, and his best friend, Josh kudra died. Bundy used to lure his victims into his car by pretending to be injured and asking for help. In 1975 he was pulled over and police searched his vehicle and uncovered a cache of burglary tools.
John Wayne Gacy was one of the most vicious serial killers to exist in the United States history. He was known as the clown who killed. He was convicted of 33 murders in total, all of his victims were male and most of them consisted of teenage boys. Gacy was first convicted of sexual assault in 1968, and he had later went on to kill 33 young males. Twenty-Nine of those bodies were buried underneath his property in the Chicago Suburbs and four were found in a nearby river.

He was a man that was miss identified and claimed he was innocent of murdering and raping Deborah Sykes. Even though he said he was innocent throughout the trial and the retrials he was still convicted of being a rapist and a murder. His life was turned around for 19 years.
In season one episode six of the Serial podcast titled “The Case Against Adnan Syed”, there are many inconsistencies and false memories as the story is unfolding through the interviews made by the police and Koenig. During interviews, the majority of the answers received from witnesses did not add up or make sense. Also, individuals involved with the case claim they either did not recall what transpired or said something completely different from their previous statement. The above statement proves that the human memory is imperfect and cannot be reliable.
John Wayne Gacy was one of America’s most notorious serial killers. Born and raised in Chicago, Gacy would go on to kill thirty-three boys within the Des Plaines area of Chicago, Illinois. He would rape, torture, then finally suffocate every single one of his thirty-three victims within the very walls of his own home. Having killed that many people, he became the serial killer with the most amount of confirmed kills in the United States at the time. He would be caught in early 1978 and sentenced to twenty-one life sentences, twelve death sentences, and to be executed by lethal injection, which would not happen until over a decade later in the middle of 1994.
Serial killers are vicious monsters. Monsters that deserve to go to jail. Monsters who had bad home lives as children and have had even harder adult lives. There is still no excuse. John Wayne Gacy eventually got the death sentence, even after he and his lawyers filed many lawsuits to stop it.
John Wayne Gacy is known as the notorious murderer of 33 young boys. Thus, leading most people to hate him and be filled with disgust by him. Nobody ever thinks about what exactly had led this man to become the way he is. Maybe because of his difficult childhood and not getting the help he needed, led him to the dark path that he had chosen.
