In my school there are 210 kids. There are definitely different groups, cliques, clothing preferences, and/or behavior codes. I observe that there are the cool and sporty groups, the Goth group, the bad kids group, the smart kids group. In the sporty cool group they dress nicely and talk about their sports a lot and enjoy talking about it. They are also really involved with any school activities, really any chances to go out and do something with their friends or to play sports. The way they act is nicely to others around them, but people in their clique they joke around to each other but never to seriously. These kids behave good in call a little talkative but that's only because they are a social group, they all get good grades and try hard …show more content…
But over time they would start to fight over who gets who, and this will lead to no good, all the boys would focus on is girls girls girls, and nothing else because they are young teenagers going threw puberty and hormones and they start to be interested in the opposite sex. The boys who would need to turn into the “men” and take care of thing like shelter, food, supplies, and keeping everyone in their tribe healthy and happy, but all this would laid off because they are focus on the wrong thing.
Also soon enough they will be thinking off repopulating the island because they think that having more people will get the chores done quick, which is true but when they have kids they are only teenagers they don't know how to take care of babies, and it will be more mouths to feed and eventually the babies will not get the nutrients it needs and die. Because these kids would have been turning to savages they would start blaming the baby deaths of people then even more fighting would start.
That is why, if in Lord of the Flies there were mixed genders there still would be a lot of chaos. These kids don't know how to live on their own and not turn into savages they need adults having different genders would not help these kids at all with
As an old and tradition island, the people who go out and work would all be man, and woman would only stay at home and do the housework. They would go out at six o’clock, and come back at four o’clock. When the boys become 13, they would start to help their father work. They would inherit their father’s job, so people in the same family would do
In addition, some high school students may not like the clique they are associated with and try to fit into a “popular” group. For example, I had another friend that wanted to hang out with the “popular” students. He was invited to a party but there was not alcohol so they told him if he stole a couple of bottles from the nearby CVS, he could hang out with them. They showed him how to steal a bottle of alcohol from the store and told him to do it after. He committed the crime and was able to get away with it because the store policy says that they cannot chase them.
Based on the results of the Milgram Experiment and basic human nature, the story of Lord of The Flies would not have changed if girls had been stranded on the island instead of boys. My first piece of evidence comes from the Milgram experiment in which subjects were given the role as a teacher. Every Time one of their students said a wrong answer, they were to give them a shock with increasing voltage with each wrong answer. One of the important things that was noted in the TED talk was that women were as willing to go to the maximum voltage as the men were. This means that in general, women are as likely to use the full extent of their power as men are.
The new story would be diverse from the original story because the girls would be more mature than the boys and wouldn’t kill each other immediately, leading to living longer on the island. The girls would be way more organized and orderly than the boys. They would have rules and all the girls would follow them. The girls would also have a harder time finding food. They would spend the majority of their time planning for a way to get off the island rather than hunting for food.
Throughout the entirety of William Golding's novel “Lord of the Flies” the boys on the island change every day, and overtime they are becoming savages. When all the boys first met, they all relatively liked one another, and there were no serious grudges. However, near the end of the novel, the boys split up and hated each other, which evolved into violence and even murder. Especially Jack who ends up becoming an evil ruler controlling everyone and torturing them for no reason.
Some peer groups can be good and some can be bad. The peer group that I was a part of in high school was bad. In high school I was always a little different and did not have many fiends because the clique or peer group in my high school used the Social Typing which is a “labeling process that begins when a person violates a norm. Negate sanctions are applied to norm violates in the form of criticisms, punishments, and/or labels.” They labeled me as a “dorky weird girl.”
The boys no longer had adults in their lives, and because of this void, they had to become responsible. They attempted to create rules, shelters, and a way off the island. They attempted to provide for one another, and eventually began to act a little like adults. “…The ground was hardened by an accustomed tread and as Jack rose to his full height he heard something moving on it.
They usually have a small group of friends that you see them hanging around. They don’t usually talk to other people because they don’t fit in. But don’t mix them up with the loners they’re different. They are; I can prove it. I bet you notice that boy that sits in the back of the class and never talks.
The boys true colors in a way come out slowly but surely, yes the environment is not helpful but William Golding is try to show you men are capable of horrific things. In the Lord of the Flies William Golding throughout the book is trying to show you that society should recognize man is evil. Body Paragraph #1: These boys are full of fear they 're human it 's expected but not all the fear is about being scared of the island. In the middle of the book Simon starts making the other boys think about who the real beast it and what they have become he says “Maybe there is a beast... maybe it 's only us.”
I believe the author wanted to show us that men are not perfect to begin with and even at a young age (like the characters in the novel) the boys struggle with responsibility, maturity, and respect. So, would the story be different if the characters were all female? In this essay I will compare differences on boy and girl characters in the novel and I will replace a character from Lord of the Flies with a female counterpart. Giving details on how she looks, acts, what motivates her to do the things she does, and how would life on the
We had cliques based over our interests and hobbies. I never thought of them differently. We were all just friends hanging out with each other.
This week in field observations, I noticed that the students in the first hour were extremely active. Some of the students were getting up out of their seat to touch other students, and taking other students supplies to complete their assignment. The students also started talking about their future and how they planned on not having children. The teacher told them to stop talking and to focus back on their assignment. The next class was more calmed than the other class but, one behavior issue occurred from a student.
Every school has social groups. Social groups are what define a school and the school’s students. Sometimes it’s harder to find the social group than others. Maumelle has many social groups, to many to fit into an essay so I divided them up. The Higher Class, the Middle Class, and the Lower Class.
Picture a plane in the mid-1950s. Its passengers a few adults spread amongst a crowd of young children between the ages of 6-12. The plane is struck while flying through the midst of a war, causing it to crash. It 's expected that people die and live, but pertaining to the Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, only a group of boys ages 6-12 survive. But, imagine it is girls who survived?
