Clyde and Bonnie alone, where not seen as a huge threat however, once the two of them joined forces they became the most powerful criminal due of the 30’s. Bonnie and Clyde where notorious criminals in the 30s who together with the Barrow gang became national stars.
Bonnie’s Childhood and life
Bonnie Parker was born October 1, 1910 in Rowena, Texas to her very rich parents Charles and Emma Parker. At the age of four her dad died. After the death her mother packed up and moved she and her family to Cement City, Texas where her grandparents lived. They moved there so the grandparents could help take care of the children.

They were driving down a rural road in Louisiana when they were ambushed and shot at by four texas officers who were watching the couple. The posse who killed them was led by Frank Hamer who had been tracking them since February 12,1934. He had found that they would go in a circle on the edges of five midwestern states. This was exploiting the state line law. At approximately 9:15am the posse hid in the bushes and almost ready to quit thinking that they had gone a new way heard the car coming down the road. The posse had a man set up to distract Clyde and get him closer to them. Thye soon fired and killed both Bonnie and Clyde. They shot a total of 130 rounds at the couple. Clyde was killed instantly with a shot to the head but it is said that bonnie screamed when she saw Clyde before being shot and killed herself. Anyone of the wounds on bonnie and clyde would have been fatal. They had always wanted to be buried together but the parents disapproving of the couple decided to bury them seperate. Bonnie's funeral was a huge success so many came that her family had a hard time reaching the grave sight. Clyde had a very private funeral. The car in which they were killed in is now in a casino or all to see in Nevada since

The film Bonnie and Clyde is based off one of the most notorious criminal duos during the Great Depression. There is a lot of distinct ideological features within the film that gives the viewer an idea of what it was like to live during that time period as well as some of the values held by those who lived through it. Bonnie and Clyde took place during what was called the "public enemy era" in which committing crime was valued due to the hardships of living during that time. The film is able to depict this while exploring the consequences of this violent lifestyle. The duo starts off just doing petty crimes, but eventually expand their crew and start robbing big banks and killing off law enforcement or anyone else who gets in their way.
