The Boston Tea Party was a symbolic event of the Revolution, but one can speculate with a good degree of certainty that it would not have occurred if not for the series of historic events in Boston and other colonies that preceded it.The Boston tea party was a result of The Stamp Act, The Currency Act, and The Tea Act. Since Great Passed these three laws it angered many of the colonist and resulted in The Boston Tea Party. The Currency Act was the first of many new laws that Great Britain had created that the many of the colonist angry. The Currency Act was a law the prohibited American colonist from using there own American money to buy goods from England. When the British ships arrived in the Boston Harbor The colonist wanted the tea shipped back to England with out payment of tax. Then the royal governor of England insisted on payment of tax. On December 16 a group of men know as the Sons of Liberty disguised there self as Indians and boarded the British ships and dumped all of the tea into the Boston harbor. After that happened parliament passed Coercive Acts. Theses act were put in to place to punish the colonist for dumping the British tea into the Boston harbor. A bill known as the Boston Port Bill was passed which banned the loading and unloading of ships in the Boston harbor, because the harbor was full of salty tea which would destroy the cargo ships. The Administration of Justice Act offered protection to royal officials in Massachusetts, allowing them to transfer to England all court cases against them involving riot suppression or revenue collection. The Massachusetts Government Act put the election of most government officials under the control of the Crown, essentially eliminating the Massachusetts charter of government. These were the most important events to me at least that were in chronological order that resulted in the before math and aftermath of the Boston Tea Party. This is what i think is important about the Boston Tea Party. This is also in chronological order from the very first thing that i thought was important to the very last
