Founded in 1967, United Way of Regina is dedicated to improving lives and building its community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. The organization funds services and programs dealing with issues related to children, poverty and health in Regina. Its current focus is the promotion of learning and development opportunities for children. United Way of Regina raises funds primarily through the annual Community Campaign, which includes donations from company payrolls, corporations and individuals. It has a call line called 211-Saskatchewan in collaboration with the United Way of Saskatoon and Area to provide information on over 5,000 community, health, and government services in the area.

As a part of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and the YMCA of the USA, the Baxter YMCA is a driving force behind the Y’s mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. As a nation we have become tolerant of other cultures. We have come a long way from slavery and the internment of the Japanese-Americans in the mid 1900s. There are organizations that do not discriminate based on cultural aspects like the many of the YMCAs found across the country. For example, the Hickory Foundation YMCA is a multi-cultural hub that benefits from the cross-cultural interactions. I have practice in the YMCA pool six days of the week.

Gisselle Zepeda Mr. Lievre American Government Credit 5 Board of Education of Westside Community Schools Versus Mergens The Equal Access Act upheld by the Supreme Court in Board of Education v. Mergens, 1990, requires public secondary schools to allow access to religiously based student groups on the same basis as other student clubs. The school administration denied a group of students their right to create a Christian after school club. The students intended for their club to have just the same privileges and club meetings as all other after school clubs. The schools excuse being that it lacked faculty support which led to the school and district being sued by the students.

The Davidson Family is comprised of husband and wife Cliff and Michelle Davidson, sons, Ndiaye and Jeremiah, and twin daughters Destiny and Danielle residing in Providence, RI. Ndiaye is currently serving his country as a soldier in the Army. Jeremiah (7) is in the second grade at Achievement First Mayor Academy while Destiny and Danielle (4) are enjoying Pre-K at Pleasant View Elementary School. For the past 12 years, Cliff continues to serve as an educator, coach, mentor and tutor in urban communities.
The Native Americans suffered through many things especially when Americans wanted to “Americanize” them. Americans wanted to turn Native American into Americans people and teach them their ways and make them forget their ways. American believed that this would kill the Indian and save the man. Boarding schools were an attempt to “Americanize” Native American children. Americans believed that it was easier to manipulate children than older Indians.

This week The Willis Family returned to TLC and viewers can 't get enough of this family. People shared that Jeremiah Willis is now speaking out about his broken engagement. Things didn 't end up working out for him, but Jeremiah Willis is now moving on and revealing what happened causing it to fall apart. Viewers got to know his fiance Mary Meyer on The Willis Family, but then they called off their engagement. 10 minutes till the west coast assuring of #WillisFamily on TLC.
I will explain how I plan to live by each value. The first value says “I will live by high standards of personal integrity.” In doing so, I will have very strong morals and to be honest to myself and others of the WCU community. I will stand against things I believe are not morally right for me. I will choose a better group of peers and not be influenced to do anything I do not believe is right.

The core value of many organization is Habakkuk 2:2, “Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets that the one who reads it may run.” In doing so, (1) we acknowledge that our overall purpose is to glorify God, (2) one recognizes the importance of making a positive difference in a person’s life, (3) the flowers or recognition is given before death, (4) we promote that we are all God’s children, (Saints of God) and (5)we purpose to serve others with love. These are not stated values ; however, they are a great significance in the life of believers and non-believers.
